Barbara Selwyn Cambridge Neighbors
Barbara Selwyn
Executive Director

As a champion of mission-driven organizations, Barbara has spent her career working within the nonprofit arena, promoting affordable housing, women’s health care, quality children’s television, higher education and issues of aging.  She has served in leadership positions at Massachusetts Health Council and Brandeis University, and most recently served as the Director of Marketing and Community Outreach at Hebrew Senior Life’s Orchard Cove, a continuing care retirement community in Canton, MA.

Barbara’s years of experience in the senior world give her a unique perspective on aging, working to understand and mediate the various factors that impact one’s ability to age in place successfully. She is passionate about Cambridge Neighbors’ mission and strongly believes that the Village model makes significant contributions to seniors and their quality of life. Barbara holds a master’s degree from MIT in Urban Planning, specializing in community health care.

Jan Latorre-Stiller
Jan Latorre-Stiller
Volunteer Director

Jan has had a long career in building and managing community and volunteer programs. Her most recent role was as the Massachusetts Regional Director for Philadelphia-based Minding Your Mind, a youth mental health education program. Prior to that, she was the Director of SOAR 55, a federal volunteer program for adults age 55 and over. During her 24-year tenure, she re-branded the program, expanding the roles of volunteers to include skills-based, capacity-building volunteer assignments that enabled nonprofits to benefit from the professional experience that the new generation of older adults brought.

Jan has always been interested in work that connects people to opportunities that enable them to grow and contribute to their communities in creative and positive ways.  She is excited to serve as director of Cambridge Neighbors’ volunteer program, facilitating connections that will serve our members in need and those in the membership and community who wish to give back.
