Please Consider a Donation to Cambridge Neighbors
A contribution to Cambridge Neighbors makes a significant difference in our ability to offer critical support services that help our older neighbors safely navigate the pandemic.
You will help us provide members with a range of practical supports like grocery shopping, errands, and periodic check-in calls, as well as the means to stay socially connected
to others in their community through a variety of Zoom programming.Your gift will provide them with what’s more important than ever –
the overall sense of reassurance that they are not alone and that a “friend” is just a phone call away.
Alternative Ways To Give:
Charitable Gift Donations to Cambridge Neighbors from your IRA
Even though the CARES Act waived the Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for 2020, if you are 70 1/2 or older you can still make gifts directly from your IRA with no federal income tax owed on the gift amount. The qualified charitable distribution is simple: direct your donation to Cambridge Neighbors straight from your IRA by December 31, 2020. Your gift is excluded from your gross income for federal tax purposes. Please consult with your tax advisor before taking action.
Stock
You can also donate stock. For details, please send an email message to kenneth@cambridgeneighbors.org. Include your name and contact number. Our treasurer, Ken Tingle, will contact you to provide instructions for stock transfer. Note: If you are older than 70½, check with your tax adviser about the tax advantages of making a donation of cash or stock directly from an IRA account to CN.
Gift to Honor, Remember, and Celebrate
A donation to Cambridge Neighbors is a thoughtful way to honor or remember someone who has made an impact on your life or to celebrate a special event such as a birthday or anniversary. Once your gift is received, CN will promptly acknowledge it by sending a card to the honoree or family member you designate.
