Walden Pond in the spring! The walk around the pond is close to 2 mi. There is also an Accessible Woods Path Trail that’s about 1 mile round trip. We can also check out the exhibit and the Walden film in the Visitor Center. Bring a lunch so we can picnic after our walk. We’ll need to carpool to get there so when you sign up with the office, let them know if you can drive and the number of passengers you can accommodate. Meet up at the Fresh Pond Apple Cinema at 10:30 for carpooling. Walden Pond State Reservation is free but parking is $8 per car for Mass residents.

Meet downstairs at Harvard T station at 10:30am
The Massachusetts State House “is a grand repository of history as well as an architectural treasure.” It’s a Charles Bulfinch building, has a cornerstone laid by Samuel Adams in 1975, and a dome coppered by Paul Revere in 1802. Our tour will take us along marble-floored corridors and show us spacious ceremonial rooms filled with works of art depicting our state’s unique heritage. Meet at the Harvard Station, downstairs by the ticketing machines to ride the Red Line to Park St. Anyone coming by other means should plan to meet us in Doric Hall before the 11:30 tour-start. Optional pay-your-own lunch following the tour at a nearby eatery, such as Parker’s or the Beantown Pub.

We welcome 2Sisters Living Advisors to our ongoing Should I Stay or Should I Go series hosted by Kate Granigan, CEO of Life Care Advocates.
Families usually tour an assisted living or nursing home before making any decisions — but how should you conduct these tours? What should you look for? How can you prepare? What questions are most important to ask? Who should you speak with? How do you make this decision based on what is most important? This presentation will offer insight into what you can expect at a tour of an assisted living or a nursing home. Michelle will explain the difference and offer expert tips and suggestions for you for when you go on tours.
